I took this shot last spring. I enjoyed the contrast of the fresh, delicate desert wildflowers sprinkled around the base of the blown-out old sign. 2010 was a banner year for wildflowers in the California desert.
Main Event
I found this totally inexpicable sculpture right off the main drag in Quartzsite. No idea what it's doing, what it means, who made it - nothing, nada. Kind of cool that there's a hawk flying in the shot, high above.
